This comprehensive, authentic itinerary includes Kenya’s top three national parks – Amboseli, Samburu and Masai Mara - and is designed for the traveler who wants a complete Kenyan safari experience without the long drives between parks. Time saved on highways is time spent off-road, game watching and enjoying time to relax at your accommodation. Enchanting Kenya is Africa Answers’ Kenyan safari of choice, and is fully customizable. Domestic flights within Kenya are included.
Your journey begins in Nairobi, the commercial hub of East Africa. You’ll be met at the airport and transferred to your accommodation for the night, Tamarind Tree Hotel.
Your package includes one night in Nairobi; travelers who arrive late in the day may opt to extend their stay here by another night to explore this bustling city and its many attractions such as Giraffe Center, David Sheldrick’s Elephant Sanctuary and Karen Blixen Museum.
After a good night’s sleep and a hearty African breakfast, you’ll transfer to Wilson domestic airport to fly to Amboseli National Park, a lovely park with stunning views of magnificent Mt Kilimanjaro. Although Mt Kilimanjaro is situated in neighboring Tanzania, the best views of Africa’s highest peak are from Amboseli. Amboseli is known for its large herds of elephants, among other Big Five wildlife and prolific birdlife. Photographers seek the iconic shot of elephants against the backdrop of ‘Kili’.
Following Amboseli, fly to Samburu and transfer to your accommodation at Samburu Saruni. Located north of Laikipia, one of the less-visited regions in Kenya, this reserve promises an authentic wilderness experience. Home of the Samburu people, and of the rare northern species - Grevy zebra, Somali ostrich, reticulated giraffe, Gerenuk and the Beisa oryx, which thrive in this arid environment.
Samburu is a breathtaking landscape, dotted with acacia trees and cut by the Ewaso Ng'iro River. Spanning over 100 square miles, the park's rugged beauty, characterized by rocky outcrops and vast savannah, provides a dramatic backdrop for unforgettable wildlife encounters and thrilling safaris. Visitors can embark on game drives to observe the park's abundant wildlife, take guided nature walks, or enjoy cultural interactions with the local Samburu people, known for their vibrant traditions and colorful attire. Samburu National Reserve offers a truly immersive safari experience, combining natural wonders with cultural richness in one of Kenya's most captivating wilderness areas.
Finally, fly to the Masai Mara to a unique region known as the Mara Triangle. Your accommodation here is Saruni Mara. Divided from the rest of the Masai Mara by the Mara River, the Mara Triangle is less visited and less crowded, often with many more game animals grazing on the plains and between the volcanic hills that distinguish this corner of the Mara National Reserve. Mara Triangle is home to all members of the “Big Five” (lion, leopard, African elephant, African buffalo, and black rhinoceros) as well as hippopotami, Nile crocodiles, hyenas, cheetahs, jackals, and bat-eared foxes.
Mara Triangle is celebrated for its high concentration of predators like lions, leopards, and cheetahs, as well as the annual Great Migration spectacle. The Mara River, which flows through the Triangle, serves as a vital water source for resident wildlife and a dramatic setting for the migration crossings. With its stunning landscapes, diverse wildlife, and responsible tourism practices, Mara Triangle offers visitors an unforgettable safari experience in one of Africa's most iconic and biodiverse ecosystems.
After your time in the Mara, you will fly back to Nairobi for your onward flight.

Maasai Mara
The Maasai Mara National Reserve (Masai Mara) is Kenya's finest and most outstanding wildlife sanctuary where gentle rolling grassland ensures animals are never out of sight. The climate is gentle, rarely too hot and well spread rainfall year round. The sensation of the great wildebeest migration between July and October is unparalleled. The wildlife is far from being confined within the Reserve boundaries and an even larger area extends beyond the game Reserve. Centuries of close association with the wildllife has resulted in an almost symbiotic relationship where wildlife and Masai people live in peace with one another. The first sight of this park is breathtaking. There is nowhere else on earth to compare with this wildlife marvel. The combination of a gentle climate, scenic splendour and untold numbers of wildlife makes the Maasai Mara National Reserve Kenya's most popular inland destination.
Samburu National Reserve
Samburu National Reserve is not very well-known, but definitely worth a visit. It is situated on the banks of the Ewaso Nyiro river in Kenya. This means plenty of water, trees and shade to attract wildlife like elephant, lion, giraffe and zebra from the surrounding savannah plains. Leopards are also regularly spotted.
Amboseli
Amboseli National Park, at the foot of Africa's highest mountain, Kilimanjaro, is one of Kenya's most popular parks. The snow capped peak of Mount Kilimanjaro rising above a saucer of clouds dominates every aspect of Amboseli. Despite its small size and fragile ecosystem it supports a wide range of mammals and birds. The snows of Kilimanjaro, white and crystalline, form a majestic backdrop to one of Kenya's most spectacular displays of wildlife - lion, elephant, leopard, rhino, cheetah, buffalo and hosts of plains' game, creating Kenya's most sought after photographer's paradise. The Park's best game runs are around swamps and there is a fine lookout on Observation Hill which offers views over the whole of the Park and beyond.
